Michael Smith vs. Berry van Peer: Michael Smith Is Ready To Make Another Mark

The PDC European Tour is commencing on the 17th of April, and Michael Smith and Berry van Peer are all set to compete with each other, but only one will be able to make it to the next round. The match will take place at Zenith (Munchen) at 23:30 (Moscow) time.

Smith established an early lead against James Wade in the semi-final and won 6–3 to get to the final for the second time in his career. Smith was defeated 7–5 in the final by Peter Wright and was awarded £200,000 as runner-up.

Van Peer developed a serious case of dartitis during his match with two-time World Champion Gary Anderson at the 2017 Grand Slam of Darts. Wayne Mardle, a former player and now Sky Sports pundit has spoken about his battles with dartitis and has thrown his support behind the young tyro, even hailing him as a potential champion despite his struggles with the ailment. Van Peer overcame Simon Whitlock and Cameron Menzies in the group round despite his obvious difficulties on stage before falling to Mensur Suljovi in the second round.
