Sri Lanka after losing the T20 series came back strongly in the last game to defeat Australia by four wickets. It was all thanks to the captain Shanaka who played an exceptional knock to bring them home. With the ODI game starting the Sri Lankans will have a point to prove on the world stage. The confidence is up and the ODI series will get underway in the same stadium where they last won the game. It will be interesting to see how they approach the game.
Sri Lanka Predicted Lineup:
Pathum Nissanka, Danushka Gunathilaka, Kusal Mendis (wk), Dhananjaya de Silva, Dasun Shanaka (c), Bhanuka Rajapaksa/Dinesh Chandimal, Wanindu Hasaranga, Chamika Karunaratne, Dushmantha Chameera, Nuwan Thushara, Maheesh Theekshana.
Australia
The Aussies lost out on the whitewash of the T20 series due to some average bowling performance and some brilliant batting at the end by the Sri Lankan players. They will be looking to go again and complete the job which they were not able to do in the ODI series. There are no issues at present with the batting side of things and everyone looks settled. David Warner will be the key man to lead the attack on Sri Lankan bowlers as he is in very good form at the moment.
Australia Predicted Lineup
Aaron Finch, David Warner, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey, Kane Richardson, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Swepson
Expert betting tips
We are expecting a high-scoring game as we saw in the final game of the T20. The start will be slow from both sides and the toss will again play a crucial role in deciding the game. The captain winning the toss will look to bowl first. We are expecting Australia to win the game and David warner to be the highest run-scorer for the men in yellow.
