The Siechem Madurai Panthers had a solid performance in their previous season, finishing fourth in the league stages and securing a spot in the playoffs. Their journey ended when Nellai Royal Kings, the eventual runners-up, defeated them in the eliminator round. Although not traditionally among the strongest teams, the Panthers managed to make it into the top four and enter the playoffs.

In the current season, the Panthers kicked off with a victory over the Salem Spartans. In pursuit of 180 runs, they clinched the match in the final over, remaining four wickets in hand with three balls to spare. Notable performances included Suresh Lokeshwar scoring 69 runs, Jagatheesan Kousik contributing 57 runs, and Murugan Ashwin's pivotal 20 runs off five balls, featuring three sixes, at the match's climax. Ashwin was again on point with the ball taking three wickets to put a dent in the opponent batting order.

However, the scenario was less favorable against Trichy. After allowing 193 runs in 20 overs, the Panthers were dismissed for just 126 runs by the 17th over, resulting in a substantial 67-run defeat that adversely affected their Net Run Rate (NRR). The season opener for the Tamizhans against Lyca Kovai Kings was particularly disappointing. In pursuit of 161 runs, they fell short by just one run. They finished their innings at 159 runs. Tushar Raheja was the star performer in that game. He made a blistering 81 runs from 57 balls keeping the team in the chase till the very end. His dismissal at a critical moment changed everything as Tiruppur needing six runs from the last three balls were unable to achieve and lost the game.

Their second match was no different, with the team failing to meet a target of 158 and losing by 15 runs. Despite S Ganesh's vigorous 67 runs from 35 balls, it wasn't enough to secure a win. The Tamizhans have been beaten by Panthers in last four out of five games they played against them.
