New Zealand, headed by Kane Williamson, did not have the best start to their ODI campaign, losing the first game by six wickets to give their opponent a 1-0 lead. The Kiwis, on the other hand, responded with a thud and leveled the three-match series.
On Wednesday, January 11, the visiting team defeated the home team by a score of 79 runs. After deciding to bat first, New Zealand lost the early wicket of Finn Allen, but Devon Conway and Williamson's 181-run second-wicket partnership got them back on track.
New Zealand
Conway earned 101 points before being castled by Naseem Shah, while Williamson got out to Mohammad Nawaz after scoring 85. Despite Mitchell Santner's 37, the Black Caps were bowled out for 261 in 49.5 overs. Nawaz was Pakistan's outstanding bowler, picking up four wickets.
Except for Babar Azam, who scored 79, none of Pakistan's hitters stepped up in the run-chase. Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman reached their twenties but did not convert. The hosts were eventually knocked out for 182 in 43 overs.
