Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders: The Champions to start the league with a win

It's the start of another Indian summer which means lots of domestic cricket action in the most entertaining Cricket league in the world. In the first game, CSK go against KKR which will be a repeat of last year's final. While KKR will be looking to take revenge for their defeat in the final and CSK will be looking to start another campaign with a win.

Chennai was able to get back the core of the team which they wanted in the IPL auction. They have a good mix of young and old players on their side and are looking formidable side from the get-go. However, for the first match, they will be without Moeen Ali who will be missing this match due to visa issues. CSK's high ticket property Deepak Chahar will also be out for the majority of the tournament due to injury. CSK for the first time in IPL won't be having MS Dhoni as their captain. It will be interesting to see how he performs with the added pressure.

KKR would want to forget what happened last year as soon as possible and concentrate on the new season with a fresh start. They are also fielding a new skipper Shreyas Iyer who has been in the incredible form of late. Venkatesh Iyer would be expected to become the main player in the middle order with the experience he had with the Indian team in the last year. It would be interesting to see how the West Indian duo of Russell and Narine fare in the new season.
