Boxing. Fight for World Champion title by WBC
Tyson Fury (Great Britain) vs Deontay Wilder (USA)
T-Mobile Arena (Las Vegas)
Early on October, 10 the third fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder will take place in Las Vegas.
Their first fight was a draw, Fury won the second one early, but the third fight might not have happened. Fury was getting ready for his fight with Joshua, but Wilder requested a rematch through the court and got it. Later on, Anthony Joshua lost to Oleksandr Usyk and it all made sense again.
Tyson Fury: the clear favorite
Tyson Fury is ambiguous and outwardly, of course, he does not look like an unbeaten boxing champion. And his behavior in and out of the ring does not live up to his status. Still, Fury is a champion and he hasn't lost any fight yet and I can't see who could beat him, frankly.
When he prepares for a fight half-heartedly, even mediocre boxers knock him down. However, he's motivated for his third fight with Wilder as seriously as possible, and that's very bad news for the latter.
Meanwhile, Tyson's only draw was in his first fight with Deontay Wilder. He was beating his opponent, but he was knocked down twice, so the result is quite natural. And the second knockdown was really scary and it's a miracle Fury was able to get up and go on. Nobody could believe it at the time.
Deontay Wilder: All hope for one punch
A boxer with a very scary punch, but it's his only weapon. In fact, Tyson Fury decribed it very accurately:
«Wilder only knows two things in boxing: the first is to go through like a lunatic, the second is to run away. He doesn't know how to move. This boxer doesn't change».
Tyson Fury
But the thing about boxing is that one punch is often quite enough, even if you lose the fight completely. Many experts believe that Wilder will be able to deliver only one punch, so we should keep it in mind.
The fact that he's probably done something about his mistakes also speaks in Wilder's favor. He's definitely not going to box with Tyson. He'll be running away and waiting for his chance. Alexander Povetkin, for example, did it not so long ago, so why can't Wilder do it too?
Expert Betting Tips
«I like Wilder. But is he going to win his third fight or is he going there just to make money? I would advise Wilder to give his best in the first five or six rounds. If he can catch Fury with a knockout punch, then he can. He needs to do his best.»
Mike Tyson
Iron Mike surely knows what he’s talking about. The fight is going to be decided in the first half. In the early rounds, Wilder will do his best to catch a punch on his opponent, and if that fails, he'll just run out of gas, becoming a victim himself and there will be no championship rounds.
