Takuma Inoue vs Seiya Tsutsumi Prediction: the Japanese derby won't be over quickly

Inoue won the belt on April 8, 2023, defeating Liborio Solis. He came back to the ring for his first defense of the belt on February 24 last year against Jerwin Ancajas, and a little later defended his belt once again on May 6 last year against Sho Ishida.

Inoue is now riding a streak of seven straight wins, with his only career loss coming in 2019 to Nordine Oubaali in a WBC title fight.

Seiya Tsutsumi has yet to experience the bitterness of defeat, currently on a streak of six straight wins, but he does have two draws in his career, both in a row in 2020. Tsutsumi's opposition to date has been below average, and he has fought all of his fights in Japan.

For Tsutsumi, this fight is the peak of his career, but Inoue is capable of more and quite obviously that's why he is a favorite. Neither opponent is a finisher, which means the fight is likely to drag on and go the full distance.
