Utah Jazz vs Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction: Is the Jazz worth counting on for success?

The previous two head-to-head games between Cleveland and Utah ended in victories for the Cavaliers. In the next game, will the Jazz not expect to win either?

By the end of the first half of the regular season, the Jazz is expected to start losing. In the last eight games, the young team has had seven losses. Utah has fallen out of the Western Conference play-in zone and currently sits in 12th place with a 20-23 balance.

Immediately before the Cleveland meeting, Utah had an away series - losing two games and winning one. During that stretch, the Jazz lost to Chicago (118:126) and Memphis (118:123) and beat Houston (131:114).

After three straight losses, the Cavaliers won four of their five games in late December. Moreover, twice the team dealt with Chicago (103:102 and 145:134 (130:130) in overtime) and twice was stronger than Phoenix (90:88 and 112:98). Cleveland lost only to Western Conference leader Denver (108:121). They are back on track and remain one of the strongest teams in the East, sitting in fourth place in the conference with a 26-15 balance. Only Boston, Brooklyn, and Milwaukee are higher.

The favorite for the upcoming game is obvious. If Utah has been losing game after game and has fallen out of the Western Conference play-in zone lately, Cleveland has picked up speed again and shows they're one of the strongest teams in the East. They are unlikely to have any trouble getting a result here.
