Toronto got closer to the play-in zone of the East, but mainly due to the fact that competitors, in the form of Atlanta and Brooklyn, began to falter more often. The Raptors' prospects of making it to the elimination rounds are almost unbelievable anyway. New Orleans, on the other hand, is quite capable of making the playoffs directly. At least in the West, the Pelicans are currently in the top-6. We're not betting on a better team, and we're not expecting a high-scoring affair. New Orleans has made great strides on defence and currently ranks eighth in the defensive rating.
