NBA Postseason is just a few days away and this is the crunch time so each win or loss matters a lost. Therefore, teams can’t afford to go on a losing streak and lose their place in context to the Play-in or Playoffs. One such team that has slipped recently is the Utah Jazz and they will meet the San Antonio Spurs who have been slipping all season long.

The Spurs enter the game after a routine loss, getting mauled by the Celtics 93:137. They have lost six of the last seven games, which has been commonplace. The team’s two main scorers Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson have been in and out of the squad due to the injury management. With just 19 wins and 56 losses, the Spurs are heading to the lottery and a talent like Victor Wembanayama can surely revitalize their franchise as Tim Duncan did in the late 90s. The team has a solid young core but none of these players look like they can be a centerpiece of the Franchise.
Utah Jazz
The Jazz enters the fray after losing 103:117 to the Suns despite a 25 points and nine rebounds output by Lauri Markkanen. The Jazz has now lost four in a row and this has derailed their season. The Jazz has 40 losses and 35 wins which have placed them out of the Play-in contention and even though they have an outside chance, it may not be so because of how underwhelming their play has been lately. Injuries to Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton have decimated the guard rotation and the team is in need for a significant boost.
Injuries
- Spurs: OUT: Charles Bassey, Khem Birch, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan;
- Jazz: OUT: Collin Sexton, Rudy Gay, Jordan Clarkson. QUESTIONABLE: Simone Fontecchio, Lauri Markkanen.
Expert Betting Tips
The Spurs are in tatters and with Vassell and Johnson out, things are looking even worse. The Jazz need a big boost here and they may have to win all their games to bolster their Play-in chances. At least, this game is winnable and I do expect Jazz to pull one off here and predict a scoreline of 121:111 in their favor.
