Sacramento Kings vs Memphis Grizzlies Prediction: Will this hit 250 points?

The NBA trade deadline has dawned upon us and this has been a fantastic season thus far. There are many teams that need help in multiple areas whereas some teams can aim for long-term projects to sustain something special. In this NB battle, the Sacramento Kings are going to take on the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Kings enter the game after a disappointing 127:129 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers despite a 31 points effort by Guard De’Aaron Fox. This was a regrettable loss considering the 76ers were without top players James Harden and Joel Embiid. They allowed Maxey to drop 30+ and Barnes missed two free throws while Sabonis missed a tip-shot at the buzzer. The loss broke a six-game winning streak and the Kings' campaign is going well.

They have accumulated 26 wins and 19 losses, which is their best effort in years. De’Aaron Fox has had strong support, especially from Domantas Sabonis who has been a triple-double threat while Keegan Murray, Harrison Barnes, and Kevin Huerter have provided reliable scoring support. The defense has a lot of scope to improve but the Kings have set a wonderful tone.

The Grizzlies come into this game after a 110:112 loss against the Suns despite a 27 points performance by Ja Morant and 18 rebounds outing by Steven Adams. This is the second time in a row that the team has lost a close game but thanks to their consistency and an 11-game winning streak, they have acquired 31 wins and 15 losses. They are in line to finish as the top two teams in the Western Conference.

The team has a superb offensive and defensive balance. While average-wise, there is no stopping Ja Morant, the team has a superb depth with Dillon Brooks, Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson, and Tyus Jones. Their defense is superb with Jackson and Adams being adept shot-blockers and Jackson’s ability to play outside defense is huge. Adams is one of the best rebounders in the league and the Grizzlies are a top rebounding squad too.

The Grizzlies are going to play a second time on the second night and that too on the road after a loss. However, they have the depth to compete at a high quality in such scenarios. The Kings are vulnerable against elite squads at times and their weak defense can be exposed by an unstoppable Grizzlies team. However, I see the Kings coming up with a big offensive effort. I predict the Kings coming in with a lot of fire here and a scoreline of 124:119 in their favor.
