New York has won seven straight and will now face Golden State at Madison Square Garden. Can the Knicks beat the defending champion and extend their winning streak?

The Knicks have been playing great lately. The team has won seven straight games. New York beat Cleveland, Atlanta, Charlotte, Sacramento, Chicago (twice), and Indiana during that stretch. The New Yorkers have allowed less than 100 points in four of those seven games. They have already moved up to sixth in the Eastern Conference standings. The balance is 17-13.

The Warriors are getting used to playing without Steph Curry, who is injured and will miss a few weeks. So far, Golden State has one win and one loss without their leader. First, the team lost to Philadelphia (106:118) without a chance, then confidently defeated Toronto (126:110). Curry's absence was an excellent opportunity for the players who didn't make the starting lineup to show their worth. Jordan Poole took advantage of that opportunity with his 43 points against Toronto. Golden State is in 11th place in the Western Conference standings with a 15-16 balance.

Aside from Steph Curry's absence and abysmal road statistics, the fact that the team will be playing its fifth consecutive road game does not favor Golden State in this upcoming game. The Knicks are in great shape and will surely take advantage of their opponent's fatigue by picking up another win. Naturally, they'll do it through the total under. New York's defense has been in the perfect shape of late.
