Milwaukee vs Brooklyn Prediction: the Bucks to End Their Losing Streak

Surprisingly, Milwaukee and Brooklyn, considered one of the favorites for the upcoming season, have yet to win a single preseason game. Which of them will be able to break their losing streak in a head-to-head matchup?

The Bucks did not make any drastic moves this summer, and the club's rotation this coming season will not be much different than last season. We'll have to wait for Joe Ingles and Chris Middleton to return from the infirmary; the latter's appearance should be much earlier. His injury was the key factor in last year's playoffs, although even without him, Milwaukee had a chance to pass Boston.

Mike Budenholzer's team had four games this preseason in which they lost consecutively. The Bucks only played one game at home, and they faced Atlanta twice in Abu Dhabi. Last game, Milwaukee lost on the road to Chicago by a score of 104-127, and the team's rotation was only nine men at the time. Jordan Nwora, MarJon Beauchamp, Marques Bolden, Sandro Mamukelashvili, and Javon Carter were the starting five. The Bucks shot a lot from beyond the arc, with Nwora and Bolden getting good shots, but Beauchamp, Mamukelashvili, and A.J. Green only made 4 of 23 threes. The Bucks lost the battle on their backboard, impacting the final score.

The Nets were considered a top contender for the league title for two years in a row and now have a shot at the title as well. Brooklyn barely managed to keep Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant but management wasted no time in the summer acquiring a number of savvy role players. T.J. Warren, Royce O'Neal, Markieff Morris and Edmond Sumner rounded out the Nets' bench, while Joe Harris and Ben Simmons also returned. Brooklyn's results, however, have been disappointing so far. Steve Nash's team suffered devastating losses against Philadelphia and Miami, and against the Heat the difference reached 29 points - 80-109. Even Ben Simmons and Kevin Durant didn't help, with the latter scoring 22 points on 8 of 12 from the floor. Patty Mills and Nicholas Claxton was poor, Simmons scored only 4 points and Kessler Edwards and Edmond Sumner combined for 2 of 15 shots. Kyrie Irving was not on the court. 

For Milwaukee, the game against Brooklyn will be the last game of the current preseason, and the Stags are apparently serious about finally breaking their losing streak. After the tour in Abu Dhabi the club did not take the main roster to Chicago and the leaders had a chance to rest and prepare for the battle with the Nets. Durant and Simmons are unlikely to be on the court, and the coaches do not typically field stars in two preseason games in a row, and the role-players could get a rest.
