With COVID-19 now becoming a regular spoilsport, the job for bookmakers, tipsters, and bettors has just become trickier. Still, bettors will bet, bookmakers will release odds, and tipster will keep writing suggestions. Anyway, in this game, the Miami Heat host the reeling Detroit Pistons in a classic Eastern Conference battle. Heat has kept things together despite missing their two key players in Adebayo and Butler, they have 19 wins and 13 losses. Meanwhile, Detroit has one of the worst records in the league with just 5 wins in 30 games. Can the Heat take revenge over the Pistons after getting beaten 90:100 in the last game? Highly likely! For a quick snoop, head over to “Notes”. For game and total prediction, jump to “Expert Betting Tips”. Keep reading to know more about both squads.

Short-handed teams but Miami has the edge

Written in advance so there can be changes to both lineups.

Heat’s combinations: Miami has three stellar guards in Lowry, Robinson, and Herro, all can shoot from outside. Lowry can set-up teammates with his sizzling passing, Robinson is a bonafide three-point shooter, while Herro is the best scorer among the three on most nights, compiling 20+ or so. Heat are really deep and when your deep reserve can launch 18 or more points regularly, you know you can mount up resistance even with your two main scorers out. With Dedmon, Yurtseven, and Okpala in the frontline, Miami can battle it out on multiple fronts.

Detroit is running thin: A team that already struggles to score, the Pistons will be without their two main scorers in Grant and Cunningham. This means that Saddiq Bey is the premier option now. It also means that now Hamidou Diallo, Killian Hayes, Saben Lee, Trey Lyles, Isaiah Stewart, and Cory Joseph will have to pick up the scoring. Hayes has been improving from scoring just 3-6 points top 7-11 points(steady progress), Hamidou can chip in with 10-15, Lee had 16 in last game but that is by far not his average, Lyles can chip in with around 10 while Joseph is not usually a double-digit scorer. Some of these players will have to push their averages up because with the current lineup, getting to 100 can become a huge hassle.

Expert Betting tips

Points Range: Heat has multiple match-up advantages, and some of them can be overwhelming. Except for the wing position, the Heat has edge both in terms of starting five and the bench. If Herro and Robinson get hot from the field, the Pistons can kiss their chances goodbye. I guess Heat can go past 110 here with Lowry passing the sugar. Saddiq Bey needs to get a big night or the Pistons will have trouble getting close to 100. The Total Points Range seems to be 200-215.

Prediction: Yes, the Pistons beat the Heat 100:90 during the last meeting but now they have been depleted big time. I think this should be an easy win for the Heat and they can extract their revenge over a team that is everyone’s punching bag this season. Still, the Heat is experienced, aiming for big heights while the Pistons are rebuilding, so I can’t be too harsh upon them. I see Heat bagging this one 117:90.
