Due to the roster's instability, the team's results are unstable. In their last match, the Clippers lost to Utah; before that, they had two wins in a row, and before that, they lost twice. The Clippers are in fifth place in the Western Conference standings with a 13-10 balance.

On defense, the Kings are struggling, which is why they haven't been able to produce consistent results. Sacramento defeated Indiana last match but had lost three straight before that. The Kings are now 7th in the West with an 11-9 balance.

The Clippers have shown more than once this season that they can win even with half their lineup. The team has a severe edge in defense which can stop any opponent even in the absence of several leaders. Likely, they will be able to do that in the game with Sacramento. The Kings are still building under Mike Brown and are unlikely to be able to beat the league's best defense at the moment.
