Los Angeles Clippers vs Denver Nuggets Prediction: Can the weakened Clippers survive Nuggets' blitz?

Talk about records being broken, Nikola Jokic and his Denver Nuggets are going to take on the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers come into this game after defeating the Mavericks 113:101 as Kawhi Leonard scooped up 33 points and 9 rebounds. This win helped Clippers break a concerning six-game losing streak. Due to the losing streak, the Clippers have now slipped to 21 losses and have just 22 wins. The Clippers’ offense has been one of the worst in the league as they are a poor long-range shooting team and not having Paul George only complicates things. Kawhi has doubled his average compared to the early half of the season as his legs are now getting in game shape. The trouble is the average play of the bench and the lack of Point Guard depth.

The Nuggets come into this game after defeating the Suns 126:97 as Nikola Jokic piled up 21 points, 18 rebounds, and 9 assists. The Nuggets have won four in a row and they have a highly impressive record with 28 wins and 13 losses. Their record is tied with Grizzlies and these two teams are at the top of the table. Denver’s offense is perhaps the most efficient in terms of how they set it up and patiently run it through Jokic. The return of Porter Jr and Murray alongside the inclusions of Bruce Brown and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has brought great balance. The Nuggets’ defense has improved by leaps and bounds which has further fueled discussions about them being a contender.

The Clippers have been struggling and the big concern for them has been the offensive end. They have done a great job defensively but playing against Jokic is never easy and Ivica Zubac will need to be busy. The Clippers’ offense has been terrible and their shooting has been way off which is a recipe for disaster against the Nuggets. I believe in the Nuggets’ hype train and believe their loaded scoring will down the Clippers. I predict a scoreline of 116: 106 in favor of the Nuggets.
