The NBA Trade deadline has brought some transformative changes and this is a period that has made the rest of the season even spicier. Kevin Durant was added to the Suns which gives their title hopes fresh wings. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving’s addition to the Mavs gives Luka Doncic a much-needed boost. The Irving and Doncic show hosts the Minnesota Timberwolves here.

The Mavericks come into this game after losing a classic Overtime thriller against the Sacramento Kings, the scoreline read 128:133. Kyrie Irving was on fire in the closing parts of the game and put up 28 points. This loss broke a three-game winning streak and the team has won five out of seven games. The Mavs have won 31 and lost 27 games and with Irving in the mix, they can make a deep Playoffs run. They are going to play seven of their eight games at home so their current record can go to another level.
Minnesota Timberwolves
The Wolves enter the game after losing 107:128 despite a 21 points performance by Jaylen Nowell. They have lost four of their seven games and their season has been a bit iffy. They have 30 wins and 29 losses, unable to get going for the most part. They traded away D’Angelo Russell and brought in Mike Conley. While this is a playmaking and defensive upgrade, the team’s scoring has taken a big hit. The team is already missing Karl Anthony-Towns for a long time and now they will depend upon Edwards more than ever.
Expert Betting Tips
The Mavericks have been playing much better basketball than last month and having Kyrie is a huge difference-maker. The Timberwolves' offense looks much leaner after the departure of Russell and it will be a lot more dependent upon Edwards. This is why I give the Mavs an edge here. I predict a scoreline of 121:110 in the favor of the Mavericks.
