Dallas Mavericks vs Houston Rockets Prediction: Luka is unstoppable, Rockets are miserable

The NBA Regular Season has been on and this has been another fantastic season as we head deeper, things are going to get spicier. This has been a brilliant season and we have seen historic performances one after another. One such historic and one-of-a-kind performance was Luka Doncic’s 60 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists outing. And in this game, Luka and the Dallas Mavericks will take on the Houston Rockets.

The Mavericks come into this game after plugging in a great 126:121 Overtime win as Luka Doncic went absolutely on fire and poured in the performance stated above. The Mavs were down by nine with around 44 seconds to go and after Knicks’ terrible play and Luka Doncic made an unbelievable game-tying shot on the offensive rebounding end. The Mavs have won four in a row and they have now won 19 and lost 16 games, which is nothing electric for a team that reached the Conference Finals last season.

But with the way Luka Doncic is playing, they can close in around 60% win record which is really not out of the question. Apart from the phenomenal play of Doncic, Christian Wood has been effective alongside Spencer Dinwiddie and Tim Hardaway Jr, but the rest of the unit has been inefficient for most parts. Reggie Bullock is at this point completely out of the offensive loop. It will be interesting to see how the Mavs respond in the upcoming window after they have launched a four-game winning period.

The Rockets enter the affair after losing 102:126 against the Celtics despite a 28 points performance by Jalen Green. This was Rockets’ sixth loss in seven games and they have now been reduced to 24 losses and 10 wins. This is not a surprise for a team that has a bunch of rookies and sophomores in the main rotation although there was a period where they won five out of their nine games, however, since then the young team has lost a bunch at home and has looked completely out of the loop.

This has occurred despite Kevin Porter Jr. elevating his scoring and having a bunch of 20+ points nights. His backcourt mate sophomore Jalen Green has gotten it done too and has been the leading scorer, and his returns have directly resulted in the wins. Alperen Sengun and Jabari Smith Jr. look like a great complementary duo of the future but they have ways to go. Tari Eason off the bench has made impressions off the bench but his offense is too iffy. Overall, the Rockets have a long way to go and a big haul in the next draft can transform their fortunes.

The Mavs have been red-hot or well, Luka has been lighting up every team at this point. Doncic comes in this game after one of the best performances in the history of the league and has already dropped 50 on the Rockets before. However, in that game, the Rockets lost by six points. However, I see a bigger win for the Mavs this time around. I predict a 122:109 win in favor of the Mavs.
