Boston vs Minnesota Prediction: Will the Celtics Improve?

Boston has failed three straight home games and will now take on Minnesota at TD Garden. Will the Celtics end their losing streak?

The Celtics had a good away series, winning four of their six games. Joe Mazzulla's team needs help winning when they return home, however. Boston has three straight losses to Minnesota - twice to Orlando (109-117, 92-95) and then to Indiana (112-117). The Celtics took a nearly 30-point lead against the Pacers but still came up short in the end. Overall, no catastrophe is happening for Boston. The team is still second in the East (22-10). 

The Timberwolves played twice against Dallas on the eve of their road trip to TD Garden. They won the first game, 116-106. The second they lost, 99-104. Minnesota has three wins in the last four games. Chris Finch's team is slowly gaining form, but they're only in 10th place in the Western Conference standings (16-16). 

Boston, after losing twice to Orlando and failing to beat Indiana, has exhausted their losing streak against not their most formidable opponent. Judging by the second half against the Pacers, the Celtics are doing all right. It is possible that in their game against Minnesota, the team will start to play seriously in the first half. So the Timberwolves have little chance here. Chris Finch's team is still unstable and will play their first game on the road after the home series.
