Finland vs Czech Republic Prediction: the Finns are Just Stronger Now

Finland and the Czech Republic have won one victory in their opening three matches of the European Championship. The upcoming meeting is actually a battle for the playoffs. Who will achieve the most important success? Let's choose several options for betting.

In three rounds Finland could very well have had two wins. But in the first round game Lassi Tuovi's wards let the game go into overtime in which they lost - 87:89 (79:79). Then followed a confident win of Finns over Poland - 89:59 and a blowout loss to one of the main favorites of the tournament - Serbia - 70:100. 

Group Stage D of Eurobasket 2022 for the Czech Republic is a home game as the team is playing in the O2 Arena in Prague. Despite the home field, Ronen Ginzburg's squad failed to produce a quality basketball performance in the opening rounds and won only one deservedly. First, the Czechs lost to Poland, 84:99. Then fell to Serbia, 68:81. And only in the third round they beat a weak Dutch team - 88:80. 

Based on the results of the first three rounds, Finland is more deserving of a playoff appearance than the Czech Republic. So the under-quoting on the Czechs is surprising. Yes, the Czech Republic has excellent stats against Finland, but what can that mean specifically for the upcoming game? The home-field factor is the only thing that speaks in favor of the Czechs. But once upon a time, was the Czech Republic a basketball country whose national team had strong support? That hypothetical Czech advantage is also off the table.

The prediction is a win for Finland.
