The Rangers approach the series in Seattle with a 2-7 balance. The start of the season seemed to hint that the Texans will not be expected to put up much of a fight this time, either. Ahead of their games against the Mariners, Chris Woodward's team lost 3 of 4 meetings at home to the Los Angeles Angels - 10-5, 6-9, 2-7, 3-8.
The starter on the pitcher's mound for the Rangers in the upcoming game will be Jon Gray, a Texas rookie from Colorado. In his debut game for his new team, the 30-year-old pitcher allowed three runs in four innings against Toronto (8-10).

The Rangers are a very comfortable opponent for the Mariners. Last season, Seattle defeated Texas 8 out of 10 games on their home field. There's no reason to expect anything different from another win for the Mariners. Plus, Seattle has Robbie Ray in the starting lineup. The pitcher was excellent last season for Toronto and will surely prove his mettle again. Especially after his disappointing last game against the Chicago White Sox.
