San Diego Padres vs Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction: Holy Fathers rehabilitate for failure in Colorado

San Diego unexpectedly lost their series with Colorado, losing all three games to the underdog, and will now try to rehabilitate themselves in their home clash with Arizona. Let's pick a few bets for the first game.

The Rockies are always strong on home field, but San Diego is one of the season leaders in the entire National League, so the Padres' three straight losses to Colorado were a big surprise. Bob Melvin's team could never break Denver's resistance - 4:10, 4:5, 3:8. In the National League West Division standings, the Holy Fathers missed an opportunity to catch up with the Los Angeles Dodgers. San Diego has 41-27; the Dodgers has 40-25.

After three straight defeats to Colorado in Denver, San Diego has no margin for error. The Padres' second consecutive defeat against a division underdog, now at home, could be very costly, at least from a psychological standpoint. So Bob Melvin's team will surely pull itself together and, with a good Yu Darvish on the pitching hill, will confidently outscore Arizona.
