Pittsburgh Pirates vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction: Both teams confident of returning to winning ways

PNC Park will host the Major League Baseball between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers. This will be the opener of a three-game series. Which team will secure a win in this opener?

The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the Cincinnati Reds in their last series and will look to do better here. In that series, the Pittsburgh Pirates lost the first game by five runs, ending 8-3. However, with another poor offensive and defensive performance in game 2, the Pittsburgh Pirates scored just one run while conceding seven. The Pittsburgh Pirates, however, pulled off a 0-2 win in the finale, their second win in seven consecutive matches and one other against the St. Louis Cardinals. 

The Milwaukee Brewers' last series was against the Arizona Diamondbacks, and they lost. In the first three games of that series, the Milwaukee Brewers lost 1-5, 4-7, and 0-5, a very poor performance. However, with a 10-9 hard-fought win in the finale, the Milwaukee Brewers did well to avoid a sweeping defeat. In the last four series the Milwaukee Brewers played, this team has just one defeat while picking wins against the Arizona Diamondbacks, San Francisco Giants, and Colorado Rockies. 

After struggling in their last series, the two teams have a lot to give in this game. However, the Milwaukee Brewers have had a better season up to this stage compared to the Pittsburgh Pirates. At home, I expect the Pittsburgh Pirates to be very decent, especially after a win in the last series of this game. However, I expect the Milwaukee Brewers to be their best here, and a win for them looks certain.
