Oakland Athletics vs Tampa Bay Rays Prediction: The Rays are the better side here

Tuesday's Major League Baseball action at O.co Coliseum features a matchup between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Oakland Athletics. The Rays just finished a series against the Texas Rangers over the weekend. The Rays were victorious in the Sunday rubber match by a score of four runs, following a split in the opening pair of games. As for Oakland, in their most recent series, which was against the Brewers, they were victorious in the first two games. The last game was also won by the Athletics by a score of 6-8. 

On Friday, the Oakland Athletics prevailed over the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 5-2, and on Saturday, they prevailed by a score of 2-1. The Oakland Athletics won the previous game by a score of 8-6, and they scored four runs in the fourth inning of that game. JP Sears, the starting pitcher, was only able to endure five innings and allowed two earned runs on six hits. The Oakland Athletics have a record of 14-47 in their past 61 games in all competitions and a record of 32-73 in their last 105 games played at home. Shane McClanahan, the starting pitcher, went seven innings and allowed three earned runs on four hits while walking one batter. The Rays have a record of 21-6 in their previous 27 games played in game one of a series, including 4-1 in their last five games played on Tuesday. In their last 68 games, Tampa Bay has a record of 48-20. 

I am backing the Tampa Bay Rays to win here. The line is probably too solid to risk crossing. It would be nice if Kaprielian did well, too. After a shaky May (9.2 innings, seven earned, 0-2 record in two starts), Kaprielian pitched well in his most recent start, allowing just one run in 6.0 innings against Pittsburgh. On Sunday, Tampa Bay's bullpen contributed to a strong team effort with 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out two batters.
