Chicago White Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels: Big Names Making a Comeback in the Lineup

The Los Angeles Angels’ Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani will be ready to face Chicago in the second game of a four-game series on Saturday at Guaranteed Rate Field. The Angels have a decent 12-7 record as of this writing, but the White Sox are off to a sluggish start with a losing 7-10 record. Although the Angels have yet to choose their starting pitcher, the White Sox have officially assigned the rubber match to right-hander Vince Velasquez, who will be searching for his first victory of the season. The 29-year-old comes into Saturday’s game with a 0-2 record and a 6.75 ERA.

The highly regarded Southside Chicago team has lost eight of their previous ten games and is three games under.500. Fortunately for them, this series versus the Angels is being played at home. Compared to their winning home record of 5-3, the White Sox have a 2-7 away form, which is quite degrading. If White Sox aspire to establish any winning momentum on the road, they must first settle down at home and put together a few victories.
