Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction: MLB Opening Day Gets More Interesting

On the opening day of the MLB season 2023, Chicago Cubs will be taking on Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The two teams will be taking on each other on the weekend as well, giving their fans ample of action to support and bet on. Just like the previous season, Milwaukee will be starting its season in Chicago. Talking about the game pressure, the two sides are likely to play with a balanced mindset; however, winning will be tough for the two under any circumstances. This will be their 4th encounter on the opening day of the MLB season. The last time these two sides played two weeks back, Milwaukee Brewers won (3-5).

In the upcoming matchup against Milwaukee Brewers, Seiya Suzuki will be starting on the injured bench; however, new reinforcements are likely to perform well under pressure. Players making their return include Nico Hoerner, Patrick Wisdom, and Ian Happ. Moreover, with the inclusion of Trey Mancini, Tucker Barhart, Eric Hosmer, Dansby Swanson, and Cody Bellinger in the lineup, Chicago Cubs are likely to produce a productive outing in front of their home crowd. Chicago will be relying on the likes of Drew Smyly and Jameson Taillon to start the proceedings in the two opening matches against the Brewers. I feel that Milwaukee is in with a chance of winning the upcoming outing against the Cubs. Total runs are expected to be under 9.5, and Matt Bush and Devin Williams are to contribute the most to the winning cause.
