The Western Bulldogs are attempting to recover from a three-game losing streak in which they suffered losses to the Gold Coast Suns, Geelong Cats, and Port Adelaide Power. The Western Bulldogs seem to be putting together a good run of form again, as they have won two amazing games, one against North Melbourne with a score of 105-84 and another against the Fremantle Dockers with a score of 102-73. However, neither of the two teams that lost to Collingwood are currently in the same league as the Magpies, and the visiting team has been playing exceptionally well as of late. Ed Richards is expected to make his return to the Western Bulldogs, but in order for that to happen, he will first need to pass through training after suffering a hamstring injury.
Collingwood Magpies - Magpies are the better side
Collingwood has had a phenomenal start to the new season, as evidenced by the fact that they have won 13 of their first 15 games while suffering only two defeats. Even though Collingwood have been outstanding in their ability to generate winning runs, where they have excelled is in their ability to prevent a loss from snowballing into a worsening situation. Their setback at the hands of the Brisbane Lions was followed by a run of eight consecutive victories, while their loss at the hands of the Melbourne Demons has been followed by a run of two consecutive victories. Even though playing on the road is never simple, Collingwood will head into this week's encounter feeling confident that they can make it three victories in a row. Following the completion of his suspension, Jordan De Grey will be ready to play, but the visiting team will be missing Brody Mihocek.
Expert Betting Tips
The two teams will not have it easy with this one, and going into this competition, I anticipate both sides to be performing at their highest level. In spite of this, I am putting my money on the Collingwood Magpies to win this match and to do so with a hard-fought victory over a Bulldogs team that has been fairly successful against the Collingwood Magpies in recent encounters due to their current run of performances.
