Sydney Swans vs Collingwood Football Club Prediction: Can Swans Upset Collingwood?

In the upcoming Preliminary Final of the AFL contest, Sydney Swans will play Collingwood Magpies at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Going in the game, Collingwood will have much advantage in its favor, however, we can expect Swan’s supporters to turn out in great numbers. Going in the all important preliminary final, Sydney is coming off a win against Melbourne (69-91) and Collingwood defeated Fremantle (79-59). Both these teams will be geared up, pulling out a thriller of a game to witness. 

Going in the game, Swans are carrying an undefeated run which is likely the reason behind Swan’s confidence as they look to upset Collingwood. For the upcoming fixture, Swans has only made a single change with Braeden Campbell missing out and will be replaced by a benched player. With 2067 points scored and 1616 points conceded, Swans are playing with an attacking approach which is the need of the time. In the last game against Melbourne, Swans won three quarters, dominating the entire game play. It was the likes of Clayton Oliver, Max Gawn, and Steven May who produced exceptional performances the other night. 

Going in the contest, Collingwood hasn’t demonstrated much consistency, however, it will still be the favorites with few weightages to win. With 1839 points scored and 1763 conceded, Magpies are likely to play with a balanced mindset in the game against Swans. In the previous game, Jack Crisp, Nick Daicos, and Jeremy Howe managed to produce 24, 25, and 17 disposals respectively. Collingwood won every quarter against Fremantle in the last game.
