The New York Jets won’t be helped by anything?

In a divisional clash with the New England Patriots last week, Robert Saleh’s team was smashed, crushed, and crumpled. The Patriots met no resistance and crushed New York 54-13. This was the Jets’ 5th loss of the new season. They won just once, and that was in overtime - in Week 4 at home over the Tennessee Titans, 27-24.

It looks like nothing will help this New York team this season. The Jets believed in a defensive specialist by putting Saleh in charge, but so far, they’re giving away the 29th-best defensive performance in the league. The Jets believed in Zach Wilson, taking the quarterback with the second pick in the draft, but he has thrown nine interceptions in 6 games so far and only thrown four passing touchdowns. The Jets offense is absolutely the worst in the NFL right now.

Cincinnati had another great game

If Robert Saleh’s Jets can be called the biggest disappointment of the season, the Bengals are unquestionably the championship opener. The matchup against division rival Baltimore Ravens last week is further proof of that. Cincinnati not only outplayed their tough opponent but also crushed it by all accounts - 41-17. Perhaps the best game in the NFL was played by quarterback Joe Burrow, who threw for 416 yards passing and three touchdowns on one interception. Ja’Marr Chase was unstoppable on receptions with 201 yards, one touchdown, and C.J. Uzoma with two touchdowns. Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine - 1 touchdown each on the ground - proved themselves on the takeaway.

The Bengals defence against the Ravens is also worth noting. Lamar Jackson got five sacks, 2.5 for Sam Hubbard, 1.5 for Larry Ogunjobi, 1.0 for Trey Hendrickson. Baltimore don’t play much in the air, but on the season as a whole, you can’t ignore linebacker Logan Wilson, who already has four interceptions. The Bengals defense is currently 5th in the league and seems capable of further progression.

Expert Betting Tips

It is extremely doubtful that the Jets have any chance of success in the upcoming game. The Bengals are powerfully on course for the championship, and a solid win over the Ravens should give Zach Taylor’s team extra strength. However, the New York side will have to scrap the MetLife Stadium turf after the opening kick-off. We’re expecting another defeat for the hapless Jets.
