Miami vs Houston: If the Dolphins don’t win here too, they could end the season early

Surprisingly, a team that looked good and even contended for the playoffs last season is having such a terrible time in the current league. The Dolphins have just one win under their belt, which came in Week 1 against the New England Patriots. The Dolphins have now lost seven in a row. Maybe Brian Flores’ team has a complicated calendar in the first half of the season, but the Dolphins lost even in games against Jacksonville and Atlanta, albeit by a slim margin.

Last Sunday, Miami lost away to Buffalo, 11-26, without a chance. Tua Tagovailoa, the Dolphins’ starter this time, threw an interception and only scored a touchdown. It may have been the baffling situation with the starting quarterback that ruined the Dolphins’ season. There’s a feeling the coaching staff still hasn’t decided if Tua or Jacoby Brissett is the team’s starting quarterback.

Things are much worse for Houston at the moment than for the Dolphins. The Texans don’t have a quality playmaker if they can’t decide which quarterback to put on the field. Taylor is far from an outstanding quarterback, but at least he’s experienced and even managed to play a full game in the playoffs for Buffalo. And Mills is a rookie who was only taken in the 3rd round of the draft. Not surprisingly, the 23-year-old playmaker has more interceptions than passing touchdowns so far, 8-for-7.

If Miami lose this game as well, you can fire the entire coaching staff immediately. Houston are in very bad shape. The team is losing to everyone, conceding a lot and not gaining anything themselves. With Tagovailoa, Brissett, or a backup from the farm, the Dolphins have to cope with the Texans.
