Detroit Lions vs Los Angeles Rams Prediction: Rams have a point to prove

The Detroit Lions enter the new season with hopes after struggling to win the league last season. In the regular season, the Detroit Lions finished third spot in the National Football Conference. In 17 matches played, the Detroit Lions won 12 games while losing 5. However, making it to the playoffs, the Detroit Lions secured a win over the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, they lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the semis and started their preseason with a defeat to the New York Giants. However, their last two matches against the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers ended in 23-24 and 24-17 wins. 

The Los Angeles Rams finished the previous season seated second in the NFC West Division. Good enough to make the playoffs, the Los Angeles Rams lost to the Detroit Lions by one point in the round ⅛. However, their preseason performances saw the Los Angeles Rams secure wins over the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Chargers. In their last preseason game, the Los Angeles Rams lost to the Houston Texans, a game that ended 17-15. 

These are two familiar sides, and I expect them to come into this one with confidence. While the Los Angeles Rams are underdogs, I still believe they have a decent chance in this one. At home, the Los Angeles Rams are favorites and it is understandable. Yet, it is best to back the Detroit Lions to cover the spread here, a game that should end with many points.
