Thursday Night Football
Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns have lost back-to-back games heading into their Thursday Night Football matchup with the Denver Broncos. The Browns won three straight games before losing to the Chargers and Cardinals. Kevin Stefanski’s team is looking to get back on track against the Broncos before back-to-back games against NFC North rivals.
Teddy Bridgewater and the Denver Broncos started the 2021 NFL season with three straight wins over the Giants, Jaguars, and Jets. Like Cleveland, the Broncos have hit a rough patch losing three consecutive games against the Ravens, Steelers, and Raiders. The Broncos and Browns will both look to get back on the winning side of football on Thursday night.
Can the Cleveland Browns win the NFC North?
Seven Weeks into the 2021-22 NFL season, the Cleveland Browns find themselves at the bottom of the NFC North division with a 3-3 record. As the season is still young, the Browns still have a great chance at winning their division. Cleveland will host the Pittsburgh Steelers after meeting the Broncos.
After their matchup with the Steelers, the Browns will make a short trip to meet the Cincinnati Bengals. The most significant stretch is their back-to-back games against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens at the end of November. If the Browns can steal two games from Baltimore, it will lock up the NFC North division for Mayfield and company.
Can the Denver Broncos be the surprise team in the AFC West?
Teddy Bridgewater had the Denver Broncos off to a 3-0 start before losing three straight games to the Ravens, Steelers, and Raiders. The loss to the Raiders could come back and hurt the Broncos later in the season. Denver doesn’t cross paths with another division rival until late November.
The next four games will be massive for the Broncos facing the Browns, Washington, Dallas, and Philadelphia. If the Broncos want to compete for the AFC West, they’ll need to win three out of their next four games. Teddy Bridgewater and company have their work cut out for them in the upcoming weeks.
Expert Betting Tips
The Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos are both 3-3 against the spread this season. Cleveland will be without their star running back Nick Chubb, and with Kareem Hunt on injured reserve, it could be hard for the Browns to move the football. Denver has a good shot at covering the spread, with it being 3.5 points.
