On Saturday, March 23, England will play Brazil at Wembley Stadium in a friendly. England prepares for the Euro 2024 Finals in Germany this summer, while Brazil prepares for the Copa America 2024 in the US. The two teams have met 27 times, with the last match in November 2017 ending in a depressing 0-0 stalemate at Wembley.

Denmark and Switzerland will play a friendly at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen. Both teams want to improve their Euro 2024 preparations after recent game outcomes.

A friendly match between France and Germany will also take place this week. As Euro 2024 approaches, both teams will refine their methods and tactics.

England vs Brazil WWWD - WDLLL

England faces Brazil in fine form. They have lost only once in 16 games, 2-1 to France in the December 2022 World Cup Quarterfinals. The team has drawn Germany, defeated Scotland 3-1 at Hampden Park, and defeated Italy 2-1 in Rome and 3-1 at Wembley. However, the Three Lions' 2-0 win against Malta and 1-1 away tie against North Macedonia left many fans disappointed following what they saw as poor performances. Gareth Southgate will use these two games against Brazil and Belgium to build his side for the Euro 2024 Finals this summer, so there will be lots at stake for those auditioning.

Brazil's performances since the World Cup have been terrible, whereas England's have been good in the previous two matches. Pedro Diniz's spell as manager saw them win two, tie one, and lose three World Cup qualifying games and lose to Morocco and Senegal in friendlies after losing to Croatia. Dorival Junior became national team manager in January 2024, and this is his first chance to choose a roster and watch his team play since their November 1-0 home loss to Argentina. Brazil have only beaten Guinea, Bolivia, and Peru in 2023, so they must improve for World Cup qualification and the Copa America in the US this summer.

Given that England have had good play lately, I expect them to secure a win.

Denmark vs Switzerland WWWWL - WDDDL

Denmark progressed to the finals after winning Group H in qualification, while Switzerland completed Group I second. Denmark demonstrated their improvement by winning seven of their 10 qualifiers prior to the final matchday. Last game's 2-0 loss to Northern Ireland stopped a five-game winning streak. Now, the hosts will aim to get back on track and prepare for Euro 2024. Home advantage helps because Denmark has won 13 of 14 games here and the last seven.

Switzerland lost to Romania in Group I qualifying with 17 points from 10 games. After starting with four wins and five draws, they finished with three draws and a loss. The Swiss have only won once in their last seven games, five of which have been draws, which may be alarming. The Swiss have lost two and drawn three of their last five matches against Denmark. Switzerland has lost two international friendlies and drawn one. Surprisingly, after three away competitive matches with two draws and a loss, their qualification performance came under scrutiny.

In my opinion, expect the hosting team to win this match.

France vs Germany LWWWD - WWDLL

France barely avoided relegation in the Nations League and had a poor campaign. They recovered in the qualifications, winning Group B by a margin. Seven straight wins and 29 goals in the campaign demonstrate their continental success. Didier Deschamps' team beat the Netherlands twice and Gibraltar 14-0, their biggest win ever. This friendly against Germany and the subsequent one against Chile are the team's last opportunity to prepare for the continental showpiece.

Germany has watched all the teams competing for the Euros this summer in silence. Their hosting status provided them with a free pass, but they had to rely on friends for match practice. The Germans have lost six and drawn two of their last 10 encounters. In three matches under Nagelsmann, they only managed a draw, which hasn't helped morale. Germany lost 3-2 against Turkey and 2-0 to Austria after drawing 2-2 with Mexico. Since France are the better performing team lately, I expect them to secure a win.
