Manchester United has lost only once in the last ten games - on penalties to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup. Now it has five wins and four ties. One of the 1:1 draws happened this week with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last 16. Manchester United is fourth in the EPL table with 46 points.
Watford is in terrible form. In their past 14 games, they only picked up one win, a 1:0 victory over Aston Villa the round before last. Lately, they lost again by a score of 1-4 to Crystal Palace. Watford is bottom of the table with 18 points, and only Norwich is worse off.
We think Manchester United can beat Watford. After all, it will play with the support of its fans at Old Trafford. The opponent has only won once in the 14 games. Plus, the Mancunians will want to take revenge on Watford for the disgraceful 1:4 draw in November.
A possible bet: W1.
Everton vs Manchester City: the Citizens to Prove Themselves After
Loss Everton has alternated defeats with five-match victories. After their recent 1:3 loss by Newcastle, the Toffees beat Leeds 3:0 but lost again to Southampton 0:2. The club is one step away from the relegation zone. It has 22 points and is only two points ahead of the danger zone.
In the last match, Manchester City sensationally ended their 14-match undefeated streak (13 wins and one draw). The team lost 2:3 at home to Tottenham, conceding the third goal in the final minutes. Manchester City still leads the table with 63 points, but second-placed Liverpool is only three points behind.
Manchester City should be careful not to make any more mistakes - the draw with Southampton and the defeat by Tottenham markedly reduced their gap to Liverpool. One more slip-up, and the title is in question. We expect a somewhat perfect performance against unstable Everton - there is, after all, a huge difference in class.
A possible bet: a handicap 2 (-1.5).
Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid: The Hosts' Fifth Fiasco
Rayo Vallecano fell five times in the last five rounds. Among these defeats, the team had a victorious match in the Spanish Cup, when it closely won over Mallorca (1:0). Rayo Vallecano occupies 11th place in the La Liga standings with 31 points, and their European Cup ambitions have noticeably diminished.
After a 1:0 victory over Granada and a nil-nil draw against Villarreal, Real Madrid faced PSG in the UCL round of 16. Madrid looked bleak, losing and conceding the only goal in the final seconds (0:1). But then, Real Madrid smashed Alaves 3:0. The team tops the standings with 57 points, six ahead of second Sevilla.
Rayo Vallecano has four defeats in a row, or five if taking into account La Liga. The visiting team comes to Real Madrid, who are in the lead and have an excellent chance to strengthen their advantage.
A possible bet: W2.
