After a 1-0 home win against Salernitana on Wednesday, Empoli failed to make it two wins on the bounce as they suffered a convincing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bologna over the weekend.
While the season is still young, signs of a relentless fight for survival shine through as Aurelio Andreazzoli’s team has managed one win in their seven matches played alongside six draws to occupy 19th place in the standings within the relegation zone.
Udinese, on the other hand, managed to salvage a crucial point in front of their fans as they played out a 2-2 draw against Genoa.
However, this result has not sparked any confidence in their camp, as they remain without a win in seven matches, picking up four draws and three losses. They currently occupy 17th place in the standings.
Udinese are the better side in this clash despite some not-so-convincing displays in their matches, and the fact that they have won four of their last six matches against Empoli gives us reason to believe that they won't succumb to defeat, picking them up in the double chance market to win or draw.

Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Mainz: Die Nullfünfer Could Turn Out To Be A Surprise Package.
Die Fohlen had to wait until match day six to get their first win of the campaign as they ran out 3-1 winners against Bochum on the road.
Before that, they were on a five-match winless run, picking up two draws and three losses. With five points collected, they currently occupy 13th place in the standings, two places above the relegation playoffs.
For Mainz, it has been a woeful 2023–24 Bundesliga season as they have yet to register a win from their opening six matches, picking up five losses and a solitary 1-1 draw at home against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Their most recent match against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday saw them concede three goals without an answer to put them on board a 3-0 defeat, extending their winless run to four matches, a run that has yet to see their form improve. Anchored to the bottom of the table within the relegation zone, three points separate them from safety.
Mainz are currently on a three-match unbeaten run when playing away in this fixture, picking up two wins and a draw—a run they can extend to four matches against a side that has lost three consecutive home matches in the league. As such, we anticipate picking them up in the double chance market to win or draw.

Strasbourg vs Nantes: The Visitors Are Worth A Goal.
After a narrow 1-0 win over Metz away from home courtesy of a Habib Diarra strike in the 83rd minute, halting a two-match winless run, Strasbourg were given a test of their own medicine in a recent match against Lens as they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat in front of their own fans.
Patrick Vieira's team has picked up three wins, three losses, and a draw from seven matches to accumulate 10 points, placing them in 8th place in the standings, two points behind fifth-placed PSG.
It would not be unfair to say Nantes have partially not had the best of starts this season, as they find themselves languishing in the 13th spot in the Ligue 1 table after seven games having picked up two wins, two draws, and three losses to accumulate eight points.
Their overly heated match against Rennes on the road saw them suffer a convincing 3-1 defeat, halting any possibility of extending their winning run in the league to three matches.
Nantes are winless in their last four matches when playing against Strasbourg, and given that they have won one of their three away matches in the league, there's no doubt that they'll have their work cut out for them in a bid for a favorable outcome, though we do still expect them to find the back of the net in this one.
