Meg Lanning finding her form at the right time
After a thin run to start the tournament, Meg Lanning has been pushing the tempo and making huge inroads. Lanning made 82 runs out of her team’s 126 making up for 65% of the total. She hit 9 fours and three sixes and somehow propelled her team to a winning total. Apart from her, Ellyse Villani made 23 runs off 23 deliveries while the rest of the batting didn’t get much due to late overs push.
Strikers crumble
Adelaide Strikers had no answer for the Stars bowling. No batter could move past 14 runs throughout the innings and lost eight wickets for 89 runs. For Stars, Tess Flintoff claimed two wickets. Linsey Smith claimed two while Rhys McKenna had two in just one over. Annabel Sutherland struck once in her three overs for just 12 runs. Stars have recovered from a poor start and have now won four of eight games they have played.
