Telecomasia.net calculated the prize money of tennis players after the WTA Cancun final tournament. The winner of the last competition Iga Swiatek earned the most this season - $9.86 million.
It should be noted that Aryna Sabalenka was the leader in the earnings ranking before the tournament, but the victory in Cancun brought the Pole more than $3 million. The Belarusian tennis player remained second with $8.2 million in prize money. This is almost $6 million more than her income last year ($2.4 million).
Coco Gauff ($6.67 million), Jessica Pegula ($5.97 million) and Elena Rybakina ($5.49 million) are also in the top 5. It should be noted that last year the Kazakhstani athlete earned almost $2 million less ($3.57 million).
