Danish tennis player Holger Rune commented during a press conference on the words of the world number two Novak Djokovic of Serbia about the disrespect of the fans during the 4th round match at Wimbledon 2024.

The match ended with the Serb's victory in three sets with the score 6:3, 6:4, 6:2. After the match, Djokovic expressed his dissatisfaction with the booing from the stands, which was actually the shouts of fans supporting Rune.

It all started in the US Open the first time we played each other when I was 18 or something. They were shouting my name, Rune. It sounded a little bit like 'boo'. We played each other many more times, but more in like Italy and France, where they don't pronounce my name the same way. Now we're in England. Yeah, I mean, if you don't know what was happening, probably it sounded like 'boo'. But if we all know what happened, it was my name.

After winning in the previous, third round of the championship, the Serbian tennis player became the third athlete to win in 50 matches at Grand Slam tournaments after his 35th birthday.
