Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has become the first player in the history of the Open era of tennis to play 100 matches at each Grand Slam tournament, Opta reported.
On Friday, January 19, the world number one took to the Australian Open court for the 100th time in his career. His opponent in the third round was Argentinean Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
Djokovic also has 103 matches at Wimbledon, 108 at Roland Garros and 101 at the US Open.
Earlier, Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas asked the Serb to concede victory at the Australian Open to another tennis player. Novak confessed that he is sometimes dissatisfied with his level of play.
