Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic defeated Italian Jannick Sinner (6:3, 6:4, 7:6 (7:4)) in the semifinals of Wimbledon-2023 and reached the finals of the Grand Slam tournament for the 35th time.
The Serb holds the world record for both men's and women's finals. The previous record belonged to American Chris Evert, who reached this level 34 times. Among men, the nearest pursuer of Djokovic is Swiss Roger Federer with 31 finals.
At Wimbledon, the Serbian tennis player will compete in the deciding match for the ninth time. He has a total of seven wins and only one defeat to Britain's Andy Murray (4:6, 5:7, 4:6) in 2013.
In this year's final, Djokovic will face the winner of the pairing of Daniil Medvedev (Russia) and Carlos Alcaraz (Spain).
