Carlos Alcaraz, the third-ranked tennis player in the world from Spain, revealed what Serbian athlete Novak Djokovic said to him after their final match at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Alcaraz said to Punto de Break:
He told me that sooner or later I would win Olympic gold, and that I let him win because this was his last chance.
On Sunday, August 4, Djokovic defeated Alcaraz 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-2), claiming the Olympic championship. This victory marked Djokovic's first gold medal at the Olympics in his career.
Additionally, Djokovic completed the "Golden Slam," winning all four Grand Slam tournaments and earning a title at the Olympic Games.
