The French Open's press office announced that there will be a ceremony to honor Rafael Nadal, the 22-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one, at the 2025 Roland Garros.
The ceremony is set for May 25 on the Philippe-Chatrier court in Paris. In addition to honoring Nadal, who won the French Open fourteen times (2005-2008, 2010-2014, 2017-2020, 2022), they will also celebrate Richard Gasquet, the bronze medalist in doubles at the 2012 Olympics and the 2004 French Open champion, who plans to retire from professional tennis.
The 38-year-old Spaniard Nadal ended his professional playing career in November 2024 after the Davis Cup.
