England’s all-rounder Sam Curran will miss out on the T20 World Cup. Curran has been ruled out due to a lower-back injury. Sam’s brother Tom Curran has been chosen as the replacement by England for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, Reece Topley has grabbed a traveling reserve spot.

Curran has claimed 16 wickets in 16 T20I innings at an economy of 7.93. His career-best is 3/28 in the format. The brisk all-rounder has also made 91 runs at an average of 18.20 in T20Is.

Results of the scan revealed the injury. He will fly back to the UK in the next couple of days and will have further scans and a full review later this week from the ECB's medical team.
