Journalist Richard Lewis, referring to his sources, reported on Valve's new requirements for tournament organizers ESL and BLAST.

CS developers have expressed concern about the current state of the pro scene. Valve has asked the TO to deal with the current partnered leagues, if they want to get a license to hold tournaments on the Source 2 engine.

As a reminder, BLAST and ESL created partnered leagues and signed agreements with teams. Teams paid for places in tournaments from tournament organizers. It is known that in 2022, ESL extended the agreement with the teams until 2025. MIBR, Natus Vincere, Astralis, Team Liquid, FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, Ninjas In Pyjamas, 100 Thieves, OG, G2 Esports, Evil Geniuses, Complexity Gaming, Heroic, BIG, ENCE, Fnatic and FURIA Esports are among those who signed the agreement.
