Insider, scout, and streamer Aleksey "OverDrive" Biryukov expressed his opinion in an interview with Telecomasia.net regarding Abdul "degster" Gasanov's transfer from inactivity at OG to Heroic's starting lineup in CS2.

Degster is doing great, he got a good invite. Despite the long break, he still managed to find an excellent opportunity to revive his career. In recent tournaments, he looked decent in Heroic's lineup. However, his team does not yet pose a serious threat for squads like Team Spirit, Team Vitality or FaZe. But for Abdul himself, this team is a good chance to progress and achieve something.

It is worth noting that Gasanov previously played for Team Spirit before joining OG. With the team, he achieved victories at Pinnacle Cup II, DreamHack Open January 2021: Europe, Malta Vibes Knockout Series #6, and secured a 3-4th place at PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

The transfer took place on May 12, 2024. Gasanov replaced Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi. Together with the team, degster secured a 3-4th place at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and landed in the 7-8th spot at YaLLa Compass 2024.

At the time of writing, Heroic is preparing for the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024. The tournament will run from July 26 to August 4, with a prize pool of $190,000.

Current Heroic CS 2 roster:

Abdul "degster" Gasanov

René "TeSeS" Madsen

Rasmus "sjuush" Beck

Guy "NertZ" Iluz

Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski.
