The Chinese team leads the medal standings with a total of 90 medals, comprising 39 gold, 27 silver, and 24 bronze. In second place is the United States, boasting a total of 122 medals: 38 gold, and 42 each in silver and bronze. Australia rounds out the top three with 50 medals, including 18 gold, 18 silver, and 14 bronze.
Overall, 10,500 athletes from 206 national teams are set to compete in the Paris Olympics.
