League of Legends has become the most viewed cybersport discipline in 2023. It scored 6.4 million viewers at its peak and 590.9 million hours of viewing time.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (5.07 million viewers at peak) came in second place, and Counter-Strike 2, which was released in the second half of the year (1.53 million viewers at peak), rounded out the top three.
Dota 2 and Valorant took the last two spots in the top 5. Both of these disciplines were watched by 1.44 million users at peak.
On the night of January 17, Dota 2 developers administered a major wave of smurf bans. The accounts of Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk, Alimzhan watson Islambekov and other cybersports players were blocked.
