The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is giving away $1.6 million in unclaimed winnings before closing its doors for good this week.
The resort, known for its iconic 40-foot volcano and the former residence of Siegfried and Roy's white tigers, will officially cease operations on July 17. Fans have until Wednesday to try their luck at the casino's progressive jackpots from slot machines and table games. The giveaway, which includes daily drawings and cash prizes, is part of the casino's closure protocol according to Nevada state law. To participate, players need a loyalty card for a chance to win cash vouchers.
Drawings occur every 30 minutes from 15:00 to 19:00 local time, and players who swipe their cards in a machine within two minutes of any drawing are eligible to win. Winners are randomly selected electronically and receive a voucher that can be redeemed for cash.
