Game pairs for the first matches of the final stage of BLAST.tv Paris Major 202 CS:GO have been determined. A total of two meetings will be held on May 18 in bo3 format (up to two wins).

The game day will start at 16:00 GMT+3. In the first match of the playoffs Heroic will play FaZe Clan in the quarterfinals. The winner will go to the semifinals and the loser will leave the Paris Major. Recall that Heroic finished the Legends Stage with 3/0 stats, without losing a single fight. In turn, FaZe had a much harder time - the team started with two losses and almost dropped out of the championship. However, Finn karrigan Andersen's squad managed to pull themselves together and advance to the playoffs with a 3/2 statistic.

After that, Team Vitality and Into The Breach will start at 20:00. The British team was one of those teams that wasn't expected to make the playoffs. The team sensationally defeated FaZe, ENCE and fnatic on the Legends Stage, finishing the stage with a 3/2 statistic. Vitality had an easier time, with Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut's squad defeating G2 Esports, ENCE and Monte before successfully making the playoffs. Vitality shows a great game at their home arena.

BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 playoff schedule for May 18

Recall that Heroic, FaZe, GamerLegion, Monte, Team Liquid, Apeks, Into the Breach and Vitality made the playoffs from the Legends Stage. Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, Ninjas in Pyjamas, fnatic, ENCE, Bad News Eagles, 9INE and FURIA Esports have already left the Paris major.

This championship will be the last CS:GO major. Starting in 2024, Valve will hold tournaments in this series in Counter-Strike 2, which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2023. The first CS 2 major will be organized by tournament operator PGL - the event will be held in March 2024 in Denmark.

BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 takes place May 8-21 in Paris, France. Twenty-four teams are playing for a prize pool of $1.25 million.
