The cost of an Olympic gold medal at the Summer Olympics-2024 in Paris amounted to $935, informs Saxo Group.
The price of a gold medal at the previous Games in Tokyo-2020 was $763. The silver medal increased in value from $415 to $473. The bronze award, on the contrary, decreased in value from $4.1 to $3.9.
It is noted that the increase in the cost of gold and silver medals has to do with an increase in demand for metals. Olympic Games-2024 started on July 26 in Paris and will last until August 11.
The budget for the Olympic Games 2024 amounted to €11 billion.
